Nova Scotia Challenger Baseball started in 2014 with the goal of providing children and youth with disabilities the opportunity to play organized sport. When the program launched, just 40 athletes and 40 buddies from five communities participated. (Halifax, August 22, 2018) - Para wheelchair racer, Ben Brown is the Male Individual Athlete of the Month for July. The 31-year-old Cambridge, NS native won gold medals in the 100m, 200m, and 400m and silver in the 800m at the Canadian Track and Field National Championships. Brown’s performance makes him the most accomplished Nova Scotian in terms of podium wins at a national championship. The event took place in Ottawa and hosted 200 competitors from 20 teams. READ MORE
