The position 

• Amplify athlete voices in the broader dialogue on safe sport, including topics relating to equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility.
• Increase collaboration and connection with and among athletes in diverse sports and settings.
• Gather and share ideas to create and improve Sport Nova Scotia’s safe sport education, resources and policies.

The ideal candiate 

• Has passion and commitment for the well-being of all athletes.
• Can commit to regular AAC activities such as quarterly meetings, networking and team events.
• Interested in creating meaningful connections with diverse audiences.
• Wants to be included in important safe sport discussions with impact across Nova Scotia.

The commitment 

• Quarterly meetings begin on May 6, 2023.
• Two in person meetings and two virtual meetings per year.
• Additional events will be discussed at the initial meeting on May 6, 2023.
