Sport Nova Scotia and the Province are happy to introduce Nova Scotia’s first EDI in Sport Conference Series for provincial and community sport organizations. With the goal of increasing EDI awareness, attendees will learn practical ways to drive positive change within their sport, all the way from grassroots programming to high performance initiatives.

Aisha Saintiche

Aisha Saintiche is a certified Health Coach and the founder and owner of MetoMoi Health. With over fifteen years of experience in Mental Health, Accessibility and Diversity and Inclusion, Aisha has used her experience as a strategic advisor and health coach to understand the complexity and intersectionality of the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual barriers that keep people from achieving their optimized health and wellness.

Aisha also holds a master’s in public policy, Administration and Law, as well as a certification in Change Management, Advanced Crisis Intervention and Counselling and Health Coaching. She is also an Integral Master for the Canadian Olympic Committee of Canada, and most recently she became a Published Author.

Always seeking opportunities to bring about change, she is also an active member and Board of Director for the Woman Abuse Council of Toronto (WomanACT) and the Board Chair for Afiwi Groove School.

Tova Sherman

For over twenty years, TOVA SHERMAN has been a Canadian thought leader and trailblazer in diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives.

She is an award-winning CEO (reachAbility), a highly sought-after speaker (Ted Talks), an expert spokesperson on diversity and inclusion (media), an inclusion consultant and trainer (government and corporate), a community builder (co-founder of Canada’s first disability arts and film festival), and one of Canada’s most recognizeddiversity and inclusion leaders (Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal of Honor, YWCA Woman Entrepreneur, Canada Law Leadership Award).

Ms. Sherman is the regional host for National AccessAbility Week — in partnership with her National counterparts—and valued contributor to National, Regional and Local committees focused on disability and inclusion programming (Nova Scotia Judiciary Advisory Council, QEII Redevelopment Patient, Family and Public Advisory Committee, Nova Scotia Legislature on Bill 59 in 2017). Tova Sherman is credentialed by Cornell University (diversity and inclusion).

She is the author of the highly regarded publication: Win,Win,Win: The 18 Inclusionisms You Need to be a Disability Confident Employer and highly sought after keynote speaker across North America. Her most recent Project is creating The Accessible Tourist platform (theaccessibletourist.com) dedicated to featuring truly inclusive travel.
