Sport for health

Inactivity causes a heavy burden on healthcare systems across the globe. Sedentary behaviour not only leads to conditions like heart disease and diabetes, but it can also cost a pretty penny in prescription drugs and unplanned time off work. Participating in sport and physical activity can make all the difference to your physical and mental health. Reduced stress, increased self-confidence, stronger academic performance, and improved sleep are just a few of the perks of staying active.

Sport for Excellence

Those who played sport in high school are more likely to get higher grades and pursue post-secondary education than those who didn’t. Additionally, a recent Canadian study reported that 94% of executive-level women leaders played sport, and 74% of those women reported that they felt that sport accelerated their careers.
