‘Being part of the mission staff is such an amazing experience. As a Black Nova Scotian, being part of the 2019 & 2022 teams has provided me with fantastic opportunities to create connections, grow professionally within the sport sector and also give back to sport in a very meaningful way. Now as one of the leaders on the 2023 team, I really feel a sense of responsibility for use my past experience at the Canada Games to ensure that Team Nova Scotia is ever evolving to create an inclusive and positive space for everyone, regardless of their background, to be part of the Team Nova Scotia mission staff.’
