Cleve’s Source for Sports Impact Awards November

Sport Nova Scotia is proud to announce that the November Cleve’s Source for Sports Impact Award recipient is Tracy Stiner-MacLean, who won in the volunteer category.

Volunteer: Tracy Stiner-MacLean, Softball

Achievements: Tracy showed outstanding dedication and leadership in organizing the Scarecrow Slam Girls Softball Tournament held this past October. The Scarecrow Slam is a large-scale Halloween themed tournament that spans two weekends and welcomes players from U9 to U17 from all associations. Under Tracy’s leadership, the event has become more than just a tournament—it’s a celebration of sport, friendship and community.

In October, Tracy also took the initiative to connect with neighbours whose homes border the Cole Harbour Comets’ softball fields. Tracy wrote and personally delivered notes to each household, encouraging residents to reach out and return any found balls. This thoughtful effort has already inspired several neighbours to respond, helping build a stronger sense of community support around the team.
