July 13, 2023- Halifax, NS – Cleve’s Source for Sports Athlete of the Month Recipients Announced 

Sport Nova Scotia is proud to announce the July’s 2023 Cleve’s Source for Sports Athlete of the Month recipient; Griffin Hiltz (Sr. Male).  

Griffin Hiltz: 17-year-old goalball athlete from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  

Recent Achievements: Griffin recently won silver with Team Nova Scotia at the Nancy Morin Classic Goalball Tournament in Montreal last month. He proved to be a crucial part of their offence, scoring 16 goals solidifying Nova Scotia’s advancement to the gold medal game. Griffin’s performance and strong abilities got him noticed by the Canadian Men’s Team coach, putting him on their radar for future selection camps. 

Quick Facts: Athlete of the Month 

• The Athlete of the Month program is administered by Sport Nova Scotia, whose members are eligible to nominate athletes for the awards. 
• A membership committee selects the award recipients for five possible categories: Male Individual Athlete, Female Individual Athlete, Male Team Athlete, Female Team Athlete, and Team.
